The Application Process
To enroll at EBC, you must be a high school graduate or have successfully completed
the General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Each student will be considered individually
based upon his or her qualifications. The application process is easy. To learn

Class Sessions: Day and Evening
Day classes at EBC meet Monday through Friday. Evening classes are
offered Monday through Thursday evenings. Some programs may require attending
both day and evening classes to complete the required credits. Not all courses
are offered in the evening.
Programs of Study
Under Programs of Study, you can review the various ASB, diploma and certificate
programs we offer in more detail. Click on a particular program for a description
and skills to be learned through the program. EBC reserves the right to make
changes in course content after evaluation by the Academic Department.
Externships: For Practical Experience
Students may have the opportunity to take part in externships
to gain on-the-job experience in their career fields. “To be eligible for an externship, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 and a minimum attendance record of 80% with no violations for EBC’s integrity policies. The Student Services Administrator will help arrange externships and advise students throughout the experience. Students are
assigned various types of work and projects that relate to their major fields
of study. Through externships, students gain valuable practical experience that
can help prepare them for successful futures in their chosen fields.
Scheduling & Registration
Schedules for all first-term students are prepared by the Academic Department.
Changes can be made to these schedules during orientation sessions. All other
students are required to pre-register on the announced dates each semester. EBC
department heads and the staff of the Academic Department are available to assist
students in developing their schedules.
Transcripts
An official transcript will be released only upon the written request of the
student or other persons with proven authorization to examine the record of the
student. An official transcript will bear the seal of the school and the signature
of a school official. A transcript issued directly to a student will be marked "Unofficial" and
will not be stamped nor signed. A fee is charged for an official transcript.
To request a transcript, you must complete a
transcript request form and submit
the form with payment to Erie Business Center. No transcript will be issued to
any student who owes monies to the school or has any other outstanding liabilities.
Authorization
& Accreditation
Erie Business Center is authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
to award the Associate in Specialized Business (ASB) degree.
Erie Business Center is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS)
to award an Associate in Specialized Business (ASB) degree. ACICS is listed as a nationally accredited agency by the U.S. Department of Education. Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Association.
