Tim Feltmeyer Makes Bail to Benefit the March of Dimes

Tim FeltmeyerEBC Medical Department Head Tim Feltmeyer spent an hour in jail recently, charged with "having a big heart for babies." Lucky for him, he was able to raise more than $400 in bail money, enough to spring himself from the slammer. And he did it with the help of EBC students, faculty and staff who generously contributed to the "Free Tim From Jail Fund" through donation cans located around the school. Monies from the Jail and Bail fundraiser are used by the March of Dimes for programs designed to give babies a healthier start in life. Thanks to all who helped bail Tim out!

EBC Student Leads Charge to Help Hurricane Victim

Jeanette, John, and TaraJeanette Fedei, a student in the Medical Assistant program at EBC, wanted to do something that would contribute to hurricane relief efforts. So she did. She put together a bake sale, featuring delicious baked goods donated by EBC students, faculty and staff. She also arranged a raffle of a gift basket, donated by EBC and won by student Amanda Brown. In addition, she coordinated a can donation effort, which raised monies from students, faculty and staff. The funds Jeanette collected were then matched by EBC for a total gift of more than $600, which was presented in check form to the Erie Chapter of the American Red Cross recently. Here, John Fuhrman (center), CEO of the Red Cross' Erie Chapter, accepts the gift from Jeanette (at left) and Tara Skasik (right) of the EBC Admissions Department.
