EBC Introduces New Practical Nursing Program
Erie Business Center recently announced the start of a Practical
Nursing Program following approval by the Pennsylvania State Board
of Nursing and ACICS. The program’s curriculum will focus
on educating individuals to care for those with illnesses, injuries
and disabilities under the direction of physicians and registered
nurses, while practicing ethical and moral principles. One of the
goals of the program is to educate future nurses to be compassionate
and caring toward patients. Students will receive classroom and
laboratory instruction, as well as clinical experience at Erie area
health care and nursing facilities. Students in the program will
also have access to an exclusive online tutorial that provides practice
examinations, extensive nursing content enrichment and nationally
standardized tests, among other features.
Upon completing the Practical
Nursing Program, graduates will be eligible to take the National
Council of Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
Passing this examination qualifies a graduate for licensure as a
practical nurse. The first classes for the new program are set to
begin August 27th, and EBC is currently accepting applications. Click
